Add into that potential issues like materials shortages, weather, unavailability of custom materials, and inability to book specialised contractors, and there are many factors that could potentially impact your homebuilding timeline.
At Zee Builders, custom homes can typically be built within 12 to 24 months of your tender agreement being signed.

Zee Builders recommends that you consider the following design elements before meeting with our design team:

• Lot Size: Before you begin planning, you need to know the size of your lot and the easements around or within your property lines.
• House Size: When you consider your dream home, think about how much house you really need. Some families want plenty of space and additional bedrooms, while others prefer a home with a smaller footprint.
• Preferred Layout: Your custom layout is based on how you want your home to function day-to-day. Keep in mind your ideal square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and basement and garage needs.
• Façade Look and Feel: How your home look on the outside is often just as important as the features you choose for the inside. Your home’s “curb appeal” is what sets it apart from other homes and makes it uniquely yours.

• Additional Features: Think about the special features you want to include in your custom design, Maybe you want an entertainment room in the basement to watch your favourite movies. One of the final stages before construction begins on your new home is obtaining the necessary building permits. Once you have gone through the planning phase and are completely satisfied with your design, your project is now ready to be submitted for building approvals. Before your home plans can be submitted, Zee Builders will work with you to contract a town planner to ensure all necessary permissions are in place.
We also use this stage to identify any other potential areas of concern and to speak with your neighbours to ensure they are aware of your construction and design plans. Approaching these areas proactively will help mitigate any obstructions to receiving your construction approval in a timely manner.
Obtaining your building permits can certainly test your patience–it can take several months to receive everything you need from council to proceed. It’s also not uncommon for councils to request additional information before granting their approval, or to place conditions on your approval until certain conditions are met. While it can be frustrating, it’s all part of the process. Clear expectations of timelines will help you navigate this stage with patience and understanding.
